About Me
My 101 (or all you will ever need to know about me):1.I strongly believe that it is always important to introduce yourself. Names are important.
2.Sometimes I do not introduce myself.
3.My name is Christos Papaioannou.
4.I like to walk around in airports and to pretend I'm a film star. The best part of the trip is to pass through all the people waiting at the arrivals door.
5.I used to like to pretend I am a writer every time I was writing an essay.
6.My favourite means of transport is the airplane and then trains. I like half-empty airplane cabins and train wagons.
7.I'm single. I don't mind being single.
8.I mind breaking up. In fact I hate it. But I always manage to survive.
9.I am quite snobbish. I do not think that there are superior and inferior people; I do have a good heart and a strong sense of social justice. Even the greatest ass (metaphorically) has the right to live; I just cannot stand them around me.
10.I'm atheist. I do not care about religion at all.
11.I like to be precise in my affirmations. I often do not succeed.
12.I have an annoying need to explain the world (including me).
13.My favourite colour is green. It used to be blue. Sadly, I do not have any green clothes.
14.I hate drunk people. There's nothing quite as bad as a drunk speaking. I do not mind being drunk though. I can count the times I have been really drunk by the fingers of one hand.
15.I can't wear a watch.
16.It irritates me when someone I don't know treats me as if we were friends.
17.I do not like to be alone. Often my snobbishness makes me feel alone even when I'm surrounded by others.
18.I change ideas rapidly.
19.I'm at ease in hostile and unknown environments after I take some breaths.
20.Sometimes I am shy, sometimes I am extremely social.
21.I am less social than my friends believe me to be.
22.I express my feelings easily.
23.The first time I went to a therapist she told me I look like a person who expresses his feelings with great difficulty.
24.I’ve got two brothers and two nephews.
25.I like my family, but, when I am abroad, I barely miss them, even when I haven’t seen them for a long period.
26.My family is not as important to me as some people that I chose myself.
27.I'm not ashamed of being Greek. I'm ashamed of most Greek though and I try to avoid them when I am abroad.
28.My favourite cities are Athens, Brussels, Utrecht, London, Madrid and Paris.
29.I have never been to Paris.
30.I believe I can be happy without living in one of my favourite cities.
31.I usually don't swear. When I do, I tend to do it in English.
32.I love symbolism.
33.As far as I know, I am not allergic to anything.
34.The worst thing someone can do to me is touch my hair.
35.The second worst is to ignore my feelings.
36.I have grown up to accept that both do happen sometimes.
37.I can sleep after drinking coffee.
38.I love to dance and to pretend that I am singing, even when I do not know the lyrics or listen to a song for the first time.
39.Normally people are not indifferent as I cross their lives.
40.I love being in a cinema.
41.In most of the cases I have been the youngest of a group.
42.My favourite years are those when my age is an even number.
43.I'm not superstitious.
44.I used to never read my horoscope since I don't believe in Astrology. However, for a few months now I read it almost every week.
45.I like it when people think I'm less intelligent than what I really am. I think it is an advantage.
46.I like to explain things to others.
47.Normally I do not insist. Unless it has to do with principles.
48.I believe that there is no such a thing in people as a “Feelings Menu†from which you can order.
49.I would like to be more revengeful than I usually am.
50.I smoke but I believe people should not smoke in most public places, apart from bars.
51.I amuse myself by reading comics.
52.I like to say nonsenses and to justify them. Then I explain to people that it was a nonsense. It's a good exercise.
53.People who speak too loud irritate me.
54.I'm an expert in gaffes. Friends make fun of me for this.
55.I almost never remember people's names.
56.I sleep a lot and I like king-size beds.
57.It annoys me when my dreams are interrupted.
58.My favourite weather: blue sky, bright sunlight and cold.
59.I like sea turtles and cats. Cats should rule the world one day.
60.I don't like dependent and whining people.
61.I hate people who harm the weak. I make an effort to be worse to them.
62.Sometimes I am attracted to depressive-like people. I’ve never had sex with a depressive person.
63.I love the English language with a French accent. Especially in neurotic, Parisian women.
64.Sometimes I need to remind myself that I have many years in front of me to become ecstatically happy. I do know I can be dead the next hour.
65.I am not afraid of death. In fact I am attracted to it in a weird way.
66.I clearly know I will be devastated by my mother’s death. Sometimes I picture in my mind my reaction during the funerals of people I know. Most people do, even though they do not admit it. It is a very useful exercise.
67.I admire happy couples.
68.I'm very independent. Since I was very young I remember myself dreaming of traveling around the world.
69.I do need to know that some people love me, though. Luckily, I have been successful in this.
70.I found out I like boys at the age of 8.
71.I like skirts, ties, scarves, shoes, umbrellas and eyebrow piercing.
72.I do not know what to reply when they ask me what my profession is.
73.I have been told that I would be a good radio presenter.
74.Normally I'm tidy and organised. Normally.
75.Many educated persons are boring. Many un-educated persons are even more boring.
76.I love it when I have a wrong first impression about a person. It is a proof that humans remain full of surprises.
77.I love to travel.
78.I love observing people through psychological/ anthropological lenses.
79.I believe in words. Language is the best thing that humanity has invented.
80.It annoys me to wake up, but my favourite part of the day really is the morning. My favourite part of the night is a bit before mid-night.
81.I like the sunrise. Sunsets are for poofs and for incurable romantics.
82.I have done some brave things in my life.
83.In a bar I would normally order a Drambuie or a Belgian trappist beer if I am in Belgium. Lately I am experimenting with Gin and Jack Daniels (not in combination).
84.I love tea and I hate being asked if I have a shore throat every time I drink tea.
85.I love cooking; I think I would eat almost everything, just to experience its taste once. By this, I mean food from all over the world; excluding whale meat.
86.I could live on tiramisu.
87.I like the Swedish language because of Igmar Bergman.
88.I love to touch people and be touched. Not necessarily in a sexual way. I love discussions with friends about relationships and love. I do not mind talking about sex openly and I laugh with people who do mind.
89.I hate arrogant people, as well as the ones who interrupt when someone else is talking.
90.I am leftist, with a naïve faith in the rule of law.
91.I love sleeping on boat decks during night.
92.Breakfast is my favourite meal. I like to have it while I look through a window or with someone I really love.
93.I love to laugh. I love hot showers.
94.I love wall calendars. Those you throw a page away every day. This reminds me past does not exist but in people's heads.
95.I tend to believe that present is the only reality we have.
96.I hate when I don't look good on photos.
97.I love receiving cards and letters and parcels.
98.If I had a next life I would love to be an astronomer or a cinema director.
