Deep Space Six is an Ann Arbor-based band that has been playing to crowded venues since New Years Eve of 1992/1993. Their positive energy and improvisational jamming has made them one of Michigan's favorite dance bands. Their dedication to the music, the original jams and the connection to the audiences makes Deep Space Six a fun band people find worth seeing again and again. In April 2002, Deep Space Six traveled to Negril, Jamaica to play on the beaches. In April 2000, Deep Space Six opened for JGB at Detroit's Magic Stick. During the summer of 1999 at Buckeye Lake in Ohio, they had the pleasure to play with JGB, Mickey Hart, Jefferson Starship, Merle Saunders, John Entwistle Band and Iron Butterfly in the WHEE3 Festival. Additionally, Deep Space Six performed at Nelson Ledges Quarry Park near Cleveland opening for Canned Heat (1999) and for Bernie Worrell, a former member of the Talking Heads and P-funk (2000).
