I am Jamie Dodd. I’m an engineer/producer, originally hailing from the murky backwaters of Bury St Edmunds and now based at The Animal Farm in Bermondsey, London, where I spend my days recording EPs and Singles for up and coming bands.
I started engineering at 16, using my old Tascam Cassette 4 track to record my mate’s bands and myself and spent hours trying to coax something a little more palatable than hiss out of the process. Eventually I did. I moved on to using my local college’s studio, which was always full of clients and bereft of engineers, so I pretty much got free reign most of the time. Here I worked with producer Phil Harding (Boyzone/East 17/Kylie Minogue), who taught me a lot about mixing and pop production. I then left the sleepy town of Bury St Edmunds and spent three years studying at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, where I recorded demos and EPs for local bands in return for experience and cigarettes. Upon graduating, I left for London and have been based at The Animal Farm ever since. Along the way, I’ve had the pleasure of working with some great bands, some of whom I’ve listed below.

If you are interested in working with me or The Animal Farm, then please email me and I’d be more than happy to talk.
I draw all my inspiration from Seal’s 1995 banger, “Kiss From A Roseâ€, which I still maintain to be the best song ever recorded.
