About Me

Beyond being one of the few female producers in the music business today, Joanne is a musician, composer and arranger, with a real passion for finding and developing the struggling undiscovered artist. She learned her craft as a vocalist and keyboard player on the New York music scene, where she worked for producer Bob Crewe, as a background harmony singer, and was recorded as a solo artist by the late, great producer, John Hammond Sr., V.P. Columbia Records. Years later she signed a songwriters contract with the Gamble & Huff label, Philadelphia International Records and started to focus her career on writing, arranging (especially for vocals) and producing while raising two children. That is when she met and began working with Sylvia Macura (a/k/a Imarri) and formed a partnership that would prove to be inseparable. In the late 90's, after relocating to the Central Florida area, she hooked-up with Donna Wright and became Head of A&R for Wright Stuff Management, the company that has been associated with The Backstreet Boys, & Pink, among others. She later found her own production company, and was instrumental in the development of the theme song for "Quest USA", the first ever Chinese Reality series. To her credit, she has been involved in writing and producing music for several commercials. After several years, she is currently reunited with her long-time friend and partner, Sylvia Macura, a very talented and successful person in her own right (composer and vocalist on the platinum dance hit "Lola's Theme"). Together, they released artist L.T. (formerly of Triple Deep) on their flagship label "Unanimous PMK". ***** UPDATE 8-29-09 .....
