Well, G'day all! Name's Chris-the rest of the ASL's to your left, n' WelcomeWell, these days are muchh different - SOMEHOW I got into University at Stoke doing Drama, although they have given Eamon bloody Holmes an honorary degree so I guess they let anyone in here. Still rocks around here though. Not too heavy on the drinks front-I'll last 4-6 before things start getting wobbly. Nowadays I'll drink damn near anything cept Absinthe - Kinda playing the 50+ rule on that! I'll talk to quite literally anybody-just don't be suprised if you get the impression I'm scared-I usually am, at least to begin with I am. But I get used to people eventually. Am rather trusting of people-probably too much so, but hey-better too much than too little, in my reckoning. Can play guitar (my style's sort of a mix between Punk and Slash or Angus Young's stuff with a bit more muscle), and surf(although haven't in about 3 years, so memory's a bit hazy)-and I ain't frightened of speakin my mind- Much rather be honest about things than be a man of many faces. FINALLY gotten my band [b]Bad Obsession[b/] together - Full lineup, I'll put up a Bandspace soon when we've got recordings! Likes:
A truly great musician, Music for pure fun rather than trying to make a statement, when you learn something when you didn't expect to, obscure swear-words, a little spontaneity in life, waking up knowing how lucky you are to be where you are-even when times are tough, pulling off a feat you never knew you could do-without it been a fluke, anybody and everybody who's prepared to like me, been single, having the freedom to do what I want in life, the spectacle of a SHOW (e.g. a Motley Crue Gig), been onstage when things go well, that fuckin feelin I get once i finish a show (it's why I don't need drugs-hell yes, that good), Being selfless & helping people out, even if theyre just strangers, re-discovering how good an old favourite really is-band, TV show, foodstuff etc., living each and every day to its full, and never regretting a single moment.
Dislikes:
Arrogance, Self-righteousness, intolerance, Feelin like you're alone even when you're with a huge bunch of friends, Sell-out music, Peter Andre, Betrayal for ANY reason whatsoever, when bands don't even play their own instruments until they can show off, the harder drugs (I've actually seen what that stuff can do-not pretty to clean up), Slasher films (so predictable), Harry Potter (Just no), only ever taking things seriously - especially music, Realising I'm quite an angry person after all - Whoops..., when people have a fall-out over the most pathetic shit imaginable, Clueless scientists and the like using scapegoats to hide the blindingly obvious, and that feeling that You're been set up for a fall.
