So... I just went on a 10 day trip to California. I have never been to California. It is like a different country. So I am trying to return to NYC with a renewed sense of purpose. I love my friends. I feel really lucky to have such wonderful, strong, intelligent people in my life. And I love my family too. It seems like I've come so far, sometimes I look back to the place I started and it smiles back at me, a mere pinpoint. I can see faces hovering before it, the people, places that have come and gone... and they are always there- a part of me- a pinky, a hand, an entire heart- filling me up with how generous they all were... And here I stand, to continue, to pour forth, create, and express new things, each moment.We missed a lot of things on this trip. For one we didn't get to play capture the flag with Gabe from Shake Yo Peace in SF. We missed him, although he has no idea who we are/ I am... We didn't spend as much time on Haight street as we would have liked to... or go to the Farmer's Market.. or the Philmore... which means we'll have to go back. I didn't get a photo of Mark; vegan chef extraordinaire or his roommate Ted who makes killer smoothies. I didn't take a photo of Joe's vegan cupcakes which were even better after having sat out 2 days in the woods. Or of Jess and her button nose and rosy cheeks.And guess, what?
