Last Machine Standing was formed in early 2004. The founding members are Cesar De Vasquez and Mike "The Cheese" Iguarte, A.K.A. "Payan." They began to write music together and over the next 3 1/2 years Cesar and Mike wrote well over 20 songs together. Later that year another close friend of Cesar's, Larry Riess, joined the band as their keyboard player. The band was now on the prowl for a front person. But due to musical differences Mike left the band in early October of 2007. Discouraged but not out the band continued on. Last Machine standing recently added to their line up, Steph Urmann on drums. Who has brought great drive and great beats to the line up. As Last Machine Standing continues to write and look for the next incarnation, they continue looking for a guitar player and vocalist to front the band. Over the following months the band has gone through a number of players and continue to try and find and all the pieces to the puzzle. And since the middle of September of 2007, Cesar, in his personal life had been going through many trials of life and growing pains due to loss of many close friends and family members. Cesar began an endless period of creativity and the upcoming release of "Connection," a 5 song EP will be their freshman release, to be followed by "Destined to Love" and then followed by "Outerspace and Beyond" This will be the culmination of all the hard work the band has done in a short period of time. All the songs were and are inspired by love, the wanting of love and loss, and the positive aspect that true love brings to all our lives. The band will be putting up random demos every week for your listening pleasure from all of the upcoming releases.
