I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I am a Clothing Designer of African Clothes and Ladies Formal Wear. I wear something everyday that I designed. I am a Designer of Jewelry (mostly earrings and bracelets). I am a giving person; I have a personal ministry of giving to anyone I come in contact with that I know is visiting from another state or country. I want them to take home something from me. These gifts are given to people I have never seen before, and probably never will again. It's a no strings attached gift of love.I have a side business "Designs by Lowell" and have been in business since 1983.I have a full time career with the Goverment and have worked at Point Mugu Naval Air Station since 1980. For the Goverment, I am an Equipment Specialist.I have been married for 34 years and have 4 grown children (3 natural / one adopted). From those children, I have 4 grandchildren.God has blessed me from growing up in the ghetto's of Oakland, California to owning a nice home in Camarillo, California. I give him all the glory. He is the center of my life.I teach Sunday School for Pre-K and Kindergarten children and I look forward to being there every Sunday for the kids.I sing in the Holiday Choir at church, and have been a part of a Mission Outreach Team that goes to minister in Mexico twice a year. The July trip is a house building trip where we build one or two homes within a week. The second trip is around the Christmas Holiday, to take clothes, shoes and food to a needy town called Triki (near Vincente' Guerrerro).I am a songwriter of over 200 songs and have authored a book about my life. The book was never released, but I have satisfation with friends reading the book and telling me how much they enjoyed it.I sing karaoke when my son comes to town. He's a Karaoke host, so he hangs out on the circuit. I have won a couple of $100.00 contests singing "me and Mrs. Jones". "You'll never find" is my next best rendition, next to the slow version of "Summertime".I have been in 3 movies as an extra "Tall Tale", "Nixon", and "Ring of death". Don't strain yourself looking, because I have a hard time finding myself also. Main thing is I worked several days on each movie and got paid.Actor "Brock Peters" was a friend on mine who recently passed away. I will miss very much. We used to talk on the phone often. I love positive people and people who are doing something with their lives. I admire people who have a direction and know what they want to do or become, and are working to achieve some positive goal.I love meeting new people. I am not the outgoing type who can walk into a room of strangers and strike up conversation immediately. I usually feel it out first, then warm up to people. I still have friends since my childhood and I make a point of keeping in touch. Friends and family are important to me and I protect those relations. If you are somone who is looking for a new friend to talk to and share a personal side of you, than so am I. Let's talk and learn something from each other. I especially love talking to people from other countries. There is really only one universal language (LOVE).
