Michael Krohn started the band in 1982, after being the drummer in the legendary band kjott(meat). Which was a punkband. Helge was the "boss" of their band kjott, but Michael wanted more rock, so he quited and started his own band, Montasje.
Michael becamed the lead vocalist of his new band, and in 1983 he got out his first album with Raga rockers called " The return of the Raga Rockers" After this they put out 5 more albums, and got very popular, before they Friday 24 may in 1991, told their fans they where quiting. From this day, Norways most famous and popular band was no longer performing together.
From 1991-1995 they played "last concerts" all over Norway. Infact they playd so many conserts that people thought they where back. And they was...
Raga Rockers played together with Ramones on the Kalvøya festival in 1995, and Michael and Joey had a little chat backstage..
In 1995 they'r album "perler for svin" was published. This was their best album ever published. The songs where great, and just like we known Raga rockers.
In 1997 they put out another album " til helvete med raga rockers" ( to hell with raga rockers). The next to years noone ever heard from Raga Rockers, and the fans started to ask : " where the hell is Raga Rockers?"..
And then in 1999 after they put out this big internet campagne they got booked for the Roskildefestival. This was the best concert ever and they rocked the stage.
In 2000 they got quiet again. One of their friends and idols, Joachim, known as Jokke from Jokke and valentines died from an overdose, but in 2002 they got a new album out, Krohn and co, and in 2004 Easy riders album... And they once again told the fans they where ending the band.
This summer in 2005, they started rehearse again, and the rumors say they have a new album on their way...
Raga Rockers rock, they are fantastic live and their music is awsome...
