*In 2005, 4 long term friends began creating music together, after discovering a shared passion for the heavier side of music. In 2007, this developed into Metal music, and Valour’s significant music style was born. At the very end of 2008, there were 2 unfilled positions within the band, due to one of the guys leaving; Bass guitar, which was taken up by Toby, and 2nd guitar, which Dom stepped into.Valour draw on many different influences when creating their songs, and pride themselves on maintaining a “melodic†element about their heavy music. This is most evident on the band’s debut, self titled album; Valour. The album is available from HMV and iTunes among other retailers across the internet, and has received high acclaim from several different reviewers, including Kerrang! magazine. Valour are determined to continue branching their technically-melodic music further across the country, and are eager to write and record their second studio album, which they hope will be completed by early to mid-2010. Except a delicate balance amongst the next album. Quotes
"Most Skillful Technical Band I've Ever Recorded." - Chris Coulter, Stakeout Studios.
"Valour's music instantly pulls you in. The band have crafted their own unique style that really sets them apart from the rest of the pack. Valour is a band that will no doubt blow up in 2009!" - Trinity Management.
"Hailing from Berkshire comes a dark secret, an alternative metal crew who possess something dark, distinct and instantly appealing to anyone who likes their metal to display a technical edge, razor sharp guitars and a soundscape to a world of peace and disturbing enlightenment. A Hardcore edge is spliced with the new goth tendencies of Avenged Sevenfold or Marylin Manson, then all married to a new wave tinge. The band have a heavy tour schedule this year in support of the album.!" - Casket Music Records.
"The material is of a very high standard!" - Corpro Records.
"Valour, another Bracknell band, were the most talked about band of the evening before they played. They delivered an energetic performance; the lead singer strutted around the stage like he owned the room and, for a while at least, he did as his lead guitarist’s fingers flew up and down his fretboard." - Mike Pyle
"Love the heavy, love the melody...love it - Sol.id.if.i.
"Wow, you guys sound huge!!! it works and sounds LARGE!!! - Mike Jons.
"That sounds fucking amazing 0o great sound, great songs structures, great vocals and so on." Nothing Kills The Sun
"The best band of the night they've got it all!" " Excellent quality of performance" " Very good co-ordination and interaction with each other" "The audience loved them" "Excellent stage presence" - BOTB 2009 judges comments.
