Soon, she found a love for the piano and began to learn compositions and also create beats on her keyboard to sing with. Soon, Ebony discovered that instead of keeping her love for music inside at home, she could show the public. Throughout her childhood she has participated in several talent shows and also karaoke contests. Winning first place at one karaoke contest encouraged her to continue on with singing. In middle school, she'd sing songs such as Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera at talent shows to showcase her voice. Ebony was even nicknamed Christina Aguilera after singing "Beautiful" at a talent show in the 8th grade. To get a better feel of how to warm up her voice and to try different types of music, Ebony joined the coir in middle school and ever since, has participated in chorus throughout high school.
Although she hasn't had professional training, she continues to showcase her voice. Her biggest passion is to create, write, and sing songs of her own as well as the songs of major artists. Ebony has taken the opportunity to add a few of her self-written songs on her myspace music page and has also posted several videos on YouTube, hoping that this could help to get her discovered.
Currently, Ebony is 19 years old and a graduate out of high school. She plans to stay another year in Germany to take a break and to focus on music. One day she hopes to have the opportunity to work in a professional studio and to work with many of her inspirations including Aaliyah, Alicia Keys, Robin Thicke, Ryan Leslie, and Diane Warren.
