Organazation (pronounced as Organization) is a hardcore Hip Hop group formed in 1995 in Queens, New York. The group consists of 3 emcees, Cope killz, Max Wise, and Skramble. The group originally formed in 1995 by Skramble when he decided that he wanted to create a group with his 2 childhood friends and try to make a name for their music and neighborhood. After running the idea by Cope it was agreed that the Organazation would be a good idea and a perfect new sound to attempt to bring into the current market of Hip Hop at that time. They shopped there first single “Boguard the block” to numerous record companies at the time, and Sony showed a large interest in the group. At this time the members where in their early teens and didn’t have a strong business sense and the deal went sour. After the fallout with Sony records in 1996 the group began to work on their first project, which was a 14 song album called “The Goal is to Build”. The group received a lot of good responses and had the opportunity to do a live show at the world famous CBGB’s club in NYC. This venue led the group into meeting a indie label out of NC that showed interest in helping Organazation gain stardom, but that also fell through. Although the group had encountered 2 minor setbacks, they continued making music and meeting people who showed a large interest and support of their musical abilities. After graduating from high school in 2000 the group decided to try putting together another project entitled “Shit Iz Sik” which received a high acclaim due to the wide range of musical production and the variety of lyrical topics. This came at a time where a lot of mainstream artist had no identity or specific traits to call their own, Organazation made sure they stood out from the rest. After creating such a good project and not receiving instant success the group got a little discouraged and decided to take a break from the music scene only to resurface shortly after, and stronger than ever. The group buried themselves in music by keeping busy and creating new tunes to shop to more labels. They worked on collaborations many solo projects and production projects over the next few years leading up to their most current project set to be released in 2007. This project shows the growth and maturity within the Organazation. You can feel the new found passion to break into the current industry to restore the true Hip Hop music. The current market is filled with dance tunes and music based on what an artist has, the Organazation chose not to speak on that subject matter. Organzation bring forth the ability to reach all ages with a variety of topics which range from social issues to political topics and everyday life. This project shows the progression from 3 young men into adults who have kept in tune with their craft thus reaching the level where everyone can relate to their message.
