NIL CARBORUNDUM

About Me

Beginning life in 2004 - as a multi-genre solo-project run by Lee Thrower - Nil Carborundum now exists as a brutal, and atmospheric death/black-metal trio, fuelled by misanthropy and anarchism.Danny's vitriolic spewing, Lee's soul-destroying riffs and Dave's thunderous subsonics - played over well-produced drum/orch backing-tracks - always leave their crowds wanting more. Only one gig throughout their entire (currently two-year) gigging career has featured a live-drummer: Halloween 2008.The band are currently - slowly but surely - working on the first half of a double album release, but with technical and personal problems getting in the way when least expected, the rate of production is constantly slowing down; but not to worry, this will not be another Chinese Democracy! The first half "Odi Profanum Vulgus..." is currently in production, and work on its follow-up "... et Arceo" will commence immediately after.Nil Carborundum have come a long way musically over their currently two-year gigging career. Initially, their songs were simple, but their repetitiveness helped them remain catchy in listener's heads. The crowd-favourite, since the very beginning, has always been "Boldly Stand Erect". But now, as each and every new song becomes more intricate, and equally more brutal, their current "fuck catchy pop!" method allows room for head-splitting brutality. So, get to a gig, and experience: Nil Carborundum!
