About Me

Sunday30ten is on a mission to bring heavy music out of the shadows and into the mainstream. S30T is not always about dark, depressing themes and eating kittens (Although the occasional kitten pie is quite devine around Christmas time). We are passionate about adding an uplifting and entertaining edge to heavy music. We like to think of our style of music not as heavy metal, but more as "happy" metal. With a twist of immaturity, our focus is on fun, craziness and athleticism while taking crowd interaction to a new level. S30T mix a variety of musical genres into each song with an underlying intensity that makes every live show a memorable one. The energy and enthusiasm of a live gig can not be explained. Only an experience at one of these performances can describe the sensation. Our band has been together for 4 years and has a vast experience in live shows around south-east Queensland as well as numerous studio recordings. Although the road we have travelled has not been a smooth one (610 Studios and Fortune Records stole our money and CDs), we have made it through with a continued passion for our music and shows. Some of the venues Sunday30ten have played include The Arena, 2004 and 2005 Woodstock Festivals, The Jubilee, The Trocaderro, The Rev, The Moon Bar and Wellerstock 2004. We have supported bands such as Spiderbait, Killing Heidi, Evermore, Thirsty Merc, The Screaming Jets, Jimmy Barnes, Choirboys, Screamfeeder, Bette Midler (just checking if you are paying attention), James Reyne, Jon Stevens and Diesel.
