As my mother lies sleeping in her hospital bed, I watch her shallow breaths
and I can not help but wonder if this will be the time that God calls her home
or if she will yet again find the strength to pull thru and live.
She is what shaped my life and the atmosphere that I believe and live within...
My Story -
A large part of who I am is due to this remarkable woman.
My mother is 90 years old. She was born in 1917 which means she was a teenager during the depression. She was attending High School, but she had to quit after her sophomore year in order to go to work and help the family. Her siblings were then able to finish their schooling. When she was 24years old she met and married my father. They moved to St. Louis and started a family. My father was in the Navy during the war, so she worked to "keep the home fires burning" so to speak. They ended up having 6 children. My mother wanted 12 because she loved kids, but my father passed away early - in fact she was pregnant with me at the time. How was a young woman, without a high school education going to raise all us kids? My father's sister offered to take me in and raise me. My mother said NO. She kept me and raised me. As an adult I now realize things were tight, but I never knew it growing up. I never heard about lack of money, yet I remember during the holiday's food baskets were brought by charity to the house. Being so young, I thought it was great fun because there were always a couple toys in the baskets also. My mother gave her life for us kids and did everything in her power to keep us all together. My mother and siblings taught me about the importance of family I was never spoiled by things, but I guess I was spoiled by the love from my family. My siblings all helped raise me while my mother worked. The one downside was that I was often left alone. I was a latch key kid before there was such a word. I never got into real trouble, but I knew then and I know now that I have some pretty darn good angels watching over me.Today I am a mother of 3 and grandmother already to 2. I am extremely grateful for being so blessed. It was always important to me to be physically present for my children. Because of my childhood, I really wanted to be a stay at home mom. I wanted to be active in their raising. My children are older now so I'm starting to see easy street up ahead, but it wasn't always easy. My daughter Jessica is 24 and married to Michael. I could not have chosen a better son-in-law if I tried. Michael is great - he laughs out loud at my silly jokes, he treats my daughter extremely well, and he is a great father to my grandchildren. What more could I possibly ask for. My daughter is now truly one of my best friends. I also have two sons, Tim and Scott. They both play Lacrosse and so we are a Lacrosse family for sure. We all love the game. It is fun right now because they both play the same position - long pole defense. When you have a child who plays a sport it can mean travel. For us it means we travel to games across the United States. That means camaraderie with other parents, and tail gate parties which is great fun. It also means being outside in the freezing cold, the rain or some beautiful spring days. I gave up trying to look cute at games a long time ago, it is just useless. If this all sounds ideal, it is. We've also worked hard to get here. My husband and I decided a long time ago we wanted our children to go to a private school. We wanted them to be in an environment where they could learn about God and nurture their spirit. We wanted them to have a great academic background but felt in the long run, the most important training is that God is here always. That type of education does not come cheaply. and them multiply that by 3. I went back to work part time in an ophthalmologist office as I am a trained Ophthalmic Technician. . It was very expensive to send the kids to private school, but once we started there we never could change because they were so happy. If you have a happy teenager, you want to do everything you can to keep them happy. .
..
My husband, Todd is a professional, yet to pay all the bills, it was very, very tight. Heaven help us if a car broke down, or needed new tires, or a household appliance needed repair. The money was really just not there. We were getting deeper and deeper into debt everyday. There were many nights I felt I couldn't breathe, yet I didn't know what to do.
I am an Ophthalmic Technician by trade, which is decent pay, but I REALLY didn't want to work full time. I always felt like a prisoner to a certain extent when I worked. I had to clock in at a certain time, take lunch - maybe if we weren't too busy, and work until we were finished. If a patient came in late, we stayed late. I'll never forget one time Jessica had an important event at school, and so I asked off work to attend and was told no. They needed me that day because the schedule was full. I was ticked.
My family is my life and I didn't want to miss anything with them. My freedom is so important. I want to help take care of my granddaughters whenever needed. I want to go to my boys Lacrosse games and other school functions. It is important to me to now be able to help with my mothers care.
Paying the bills and securing our future was very important also.
So, I constantly wondered how I was going to do all of it..
I became determined that I would have my freedom, yet bring in enough money to help pay the bills and ultimately give us financial freedom.
I finally figured it all out.
The secret was empowering others, giving to others, helping others and in turn, my life changed 100 fold.
So Where Am I Going With All Of This?
Here’s the deal. I want to share and provide you with an intelligence for Living an Empowered and Inspired Life! I want to keep growing inside and help others grow themselves. I want to be happy at all times and have my life be in balance with our universe and help others achieve the same goals. That is my life time quest.
I desire to become your personal conduit where you will learn the wisdom, success mindset, personal growth, wealth creation strategies and full potential living that has been taught to me and that I have applied in my life. I want this so much for you because each and everyone of us deserve happiness. And I know it’s within each and everyone of you.
The question is…what are you going to do about it? Do you continue on living life even if you’re not satisfied with how you’re living? Or do you step MAJORLY out of your comfort zone, believe in yourself at any cost, and put in any amount of work it takes to get where you need to be?
That’s a question that only gets answered from within YOU! And ultimately what you really want, and how bad you want it, will dictate which path you take. I know that it is hard to look deep within your soul and be completely honest with yourself but you can do it.
All I can say is ANY amount of happiness, satisfaction, peace, love, and wealth you want is YOURS for the taking when you REALLY REALLY dedicate your entire being to it. Just remember you must have balance in your life.
And if you are REALLY serious about where you’re going in life, creating MASSIVE wealth and financial freedom, and living life how YOU want to live it…then you just have to investigate how I make money hand over fist doing what I love best...working behind behind my computer.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a total newbie or a trained professional…what I can teach you…and what I’m working with…WILL change your life if you let it.
