Faux Bear

Faux Bear is Jon, Pep, Tim, and Tony. They all play a bunch of instruments, some better than others. Faux Bear was formed in Philadelphia. Like many great bands before them, the members met while attending a graduate program in clinical psychology. Early on in their studies, they quickly recognized in one another an assembly of like-minded individuals looking to connect the elusive dots between the Beatles, Neutral Milk Hotel, Wesley Willis, Pavement, and Aha.Operating deceptively from within a quirky instrumentation, Faux Bears original brand of lo-fi, neo-psychedelia reveals equal parts faithful devotion to and admonishment of the conventions and pretensions of rock and roll. Amidst their angular approach to lyric lies a deep acceptance of, and appreciation for, the absurdity of the human condition.Or maybe not.
