This is Martell, a band now entering its second year and starting to make waves in Hertfordshire. We are not influenced by any band specifically, more by the power of great music and words, by the state our world has got itself into and by the many ways we find to escape our desperate situation.
Perhaps the greatest compliment we have received was that we are “not your average jingly-jangly indie band,†too much music these days is sanitized; too many great bands have been destroyed by weapons of mass consumption. In a world of apathy we want to tell you something real.
