Oklahoma is know around the world as the "Buckle of the Bible Belt" of America. It's the home of Oral Roberts Unv., Rhema Bible College and a host of gifted Pastors, teachers and artists, from Kenneth Coupland to Smokey Norful, that has dedicated their lives to the promotion of GOD's word through various ministries. Since the turn of the Millennium, Hip-Hop has gained the momentum and the respect of the music world in a whole, influencing every other genre of music today from country, heavy metal, pop, R&B, blues and gospel. Today the Hip-Hop Gospel Movement has many talented artists, with hi-tech word play, great delivery and stage performances that keep the churches entertained...but what about the streets? The millions of souls that feel they believe and want to know more of GOD, but don't want to be judged or looked down upon by the self-righteous telling them what they should or shouldn't be doing and not embracing and teaching as they should. Who represent the broken, the torn, the hurt, the addicted and the fallen? "Bro. STYLZ" does!!
Tennessee native, I have been entertaining most of my life, and performed and opened shows for hip-hop artists from Will Smith 2 G-Unit and R&B artist from Mint Condtion 2 Ginuwine. Even then, I understood my GOD given talent was percise and annointed even before I knew my calling.
After highschool, I enlisted into the U.S. Army. I am no stranger to history making events. While stationed in Germany, I actually witnessed the Fall of The Berlin Wall and participated in the Gulf War, Desert Storm. During all this, I still managed to perform by booking myself shows around military bases. After being honorably discharged, I moved to Tulsa, OK where I acquired an undergraduate degree at Spartan College of Aeronautics.
I'll be the first to admit, I fought and denied my calling even after an early life of crime to countless misses of danger as a soldier, including two devastating car crashes. One of them, I actually died and had to be resuscitated but came out without a scratch. Being a person with a character of show me, I believe GOD put me through these remarkable events of life so that there would be no question that it was he alone that had gotten me out them. I try to minister to the soul by witnessing with testimonies and high praises to the Father over hard banging street beats. Understanding the engagement of warfare literally, my objective is to inject the music industry with a dose of meaningful substance while uplifting the Father. I want to be a voice for and to the Lost, the Rejected and the Forgotten.
