Hello. Yes, I book and promote shows. Yes, I will try to help you if I like you. I try to respond to every single message I receive, even if it is to say I am unable to help.
I take the best possible care of all of my out-of-town acts. I will book you and promote you properly, both online and at street level. You will not be handed tickets and expected to sell them. That is my job. You will not have to pay to play. If you have travelled further than 60 miles, you will be given a hot meal and a drinks rider in addition to your fee. I will also do all I can to help out-of-town/touring acts secure a bed/sofa/floor to kip on for the night. All I expect from you is to maintain communication up until the show and follow the times on the itinerary as strictly as possible (I understand touring is tough, but do please be on time for your allocated soundcheck and follow the guidelines - going dramatically over your allocated soundcheck slot will be frowned upon - it's unacceptable). Local acts will also be very well looked after and can expect the same treatment as above, minus the hot meal and accomodation part as I'm sure you can take care of those yourselves :)
I am purely DIY. I don't receive any funding from outside sources and I do this purely for the love of live music and the desire to help bands and artists play to new audiences. I am a music obsessive and I am not motivated by making money out of shows.
