About Me

Born in Haiti and raised in the U.S., Luner Eugene, better known as Spklife, is a leader with a vision to empower the nation through “Hip Hop”music: In pursuit of his dreams and vision, Spklife is determined to accomplish his goals against all odds, oppositions and negativities.Despite his past upbringing, and hostile environment, Spklife remained positive and motivated, knowing he had a mission and his purpose to fulfill. “It was the grace of God that kept me from getting involved in selling drugs, stealing cars, when almost everyone I was associated with were either going to jail, getting deported, or ending up dead says, Spklife.”In 1995, his love for hip hop inspired him to spend a lot of time listening and understanding the Hip Hop music genre and culture. His passion for writing was discovered during a search for self-discovery. “I think the greatest challenge in the industry now, is to be able to sell records and still make a positive impact on people. ”And yes, I’m definitely up for the challenge”, says Spklife. For me, life has always been about the well being of people. Helping people to better themselves and finding their purpose & destiny through my songs is my primary focus.” There’s so much more we as artist, has yet come close to touch, and that’s the inner soul of a man; and this is what I strive to do.His first major EP release “Let There Be Life” is very intense, emotional, authentic, and relevant to what’s happening in our society today. The songs; “For the Money”, “Hope”, “Money Change The Game” and “Good Music”, demonstrate uniqueness, morals, good values and life transforming lyrics, like“Get your money get it all /But however we artist could do better if we all work together/Improve on our lyrics to change lives forever/We can see results in our communities whenever/ We start speaking life through our music to him and her.” In another song he says, “Every rapper’s force to write about these same old songs/ But I rather write songs that will make us strong/Cause I couldn’t rap about guns cause I own none/“Even Diamonds On My Neck” I couldn’t sing along/Cause when it came out I was too broke to Sing that song”.His faith-based lyrics are thought provoking, convincing, and empowering; an in your face type of music and absent of the n-word, the b-word, the h-word or other derogatory words. “I want my music to be much more than just a hype song. I believe music should be Inspirational & Motivational. There must be a change that takes place within us to better ourselves says, Spklife.” Let There Be Life!“Speaking Life Through Hip-Hop Music to Empower A Nation” www.mikeswittel.com
