NYC based Producer/Composer/Engineer Alex Bilowitz has been making music all of his life. Beginning with classical piano as a child, Alex quickly developed an ear for more popular music. Focusing his studies on jazz piano and organ, Alex unexpectedly became a frequent session musician in his college years, splitting his time between upstate New York and the City.
Under the tutelage of Grammy Award-winning Producer/Composer/Engineer/Mixer, Scott Jacoby, Alex quickly developed a skill and passion for creating songs for other artists. As a producer for SCOJAC Music Productions, Alex has worked on countless projects ranging from producing major label rock, pop and r&b artists to engineering live jazz performance. Most recently, Alex has been a driving force as the Vice President and Head of A&R of the newly formed, yet groundbreaking indie-label Eusonia Records, whose first release, This Much Is True, by debut artist Maiysha, was nominated for a 2009 Grammy award for Best Urban..Alternative Performance, on which Alex also served as an engineer.
In his spare time, Alex likes to relax with his family, travel, exercise, compete in auto rally events, smoke cigars and cry himself to sleep over how vain his myspace bio is.
