About Me

Dispute started in spring of 2004. After writing and recording our demo we played our first show on September 24th, 2004 at 924 Gilman Street in Berkeley, California. After the demo being in circulation for a short amount of time, a new record label entitled Rumble Records (www.rumblerecords.net) released the demo on a 7inch Vinyl Record.
Dispute recorded our first full-length record titled "Everyone, Everything" in the summer of 2005 which was released by our dear friends at Vexed Records. After this record was released we had the opportunity to play some amazing shows with such bands as Good Riddance, Sick Of It All, and the bay areas own AFI.
In early 2006 we went through a line-up change adding on second guitar Ryan Blasquez, who is an amazing guitarist and new friend to the band. In October of 2006, Dispute spent 18 amazing days in Europe with A.F.I. and The Explosion from the east coast.
In Early 2007, Dispute has been going in and out of the studio, recording and demoing new songs with Joe Clements (Fury 66) @ Compound Studios in Santa Cruz, CA and Forrest Lawrence (Bay Area's All Bets Off) @ Annex Studios in Menlo Park, CA.
Through the past 3 years we have had the opportunities to play with some amazing bands on some awesome tours and local shows as well!!
Unfortunately, Dispute has had to call it quits. With the many member changes, and other things, Everyone has had a different idea of where we wanted the band to go. Dispute is ending on good terms with everyone and we want to remain friends.
Please keep in touch as we will be posting news about new bands, new projects, etc.
Right now,
Jeremy and Ryan have started a new band called "Wolves and Thieves". Be on the lookout for a demo in early 2008.
Donald has been playing in a new rock project called "Getter" based out of San Jose. You can check it out at http://www.myspace.com/getter
Thank you so much for the amazing times had.
We can not say thank you enough to all the people who have helped us out throughout the short lifetime of Dispute.
love,
Dispute
