My life’s path is dedicated to integrating and sharing my studies in yoga, Tantric philosophy, art, ecology, sacred drumming, organic gardening, permaculture, aroma-psychology and relationship. I also design gardens and food forests with my husband Eric for our company Veriditas Landscape Design. These professional pursuits have developed very intentionally and slowly over the last 20+years. I knew early on that my life's work would be multifaceted and multidisciplinary and that I wanted to create multiple streams of income. She was first introduced to Eastern philosophy, mysticism and various practices of meditation at an ashram in India at the age of twelve. Inspired by seeing her mother's Ashtanga yoga practice, she began practicing hatha yoga in 1989. She has been teaching yoga since 1998. Krista began the pursuit of the drum as a teenager studying drum set, percussion and world drumming with master drummers in private, workshop and academic settings. In 1995 Krista had the auspicious blessing of meeting Layne Redmond author of "When the Women were Drummers" and began to focus her musical studies on mastering the frame drum. She has been in apprenticeship to Layne Redmond and her prolific teaching of the frame drum for over 14 years. Krista is gifted at transmitting the ancient knowledge of both yoga & sacred drumming in a way that is thoroughly modern, accessible and deeply transformative.
