About Me
Born and bred in Jackson, Mississippi, I'm a half-Japanese girl who grew up in the Deep South: I love magnolias, gardenias, chicken fried steak, green tomatoes, grits, catfish, hush puppies, pecan pie, pralines, powder sugared beignets with chicory coffee and TOBACCO-SPITTING CONTESTS!!!I should have been an actress, but instead of having the courage to pursue this pipe-dream career on the stage or on the screen, I fell back on my degree in computer science. I'm like this, too. I have a great reputation in the field of Biometrics. For six years, I designed, built and installed large systems that analyze fingerprint and palmprint patterns and perform facial recognition - all that cool CSI forensic stuff. And I got to be a jet-setter, too. Flying to DC, Napa Valley, Switzerland, Luxembourg, the Bahamas, and the capital of the EU Brussels.I lived in Orange County, California where the weather is always gorgeous. I'm took sailing classes at Newport Beach and learned how to surf in San Onofre. I picked up snowboarding at Mountain High.My mom grew up in Tokyo and NO, I don't speak Japanese. I do speak German, Dutch, Spanish, Italian and some French. I'm a Europhilistic polyglot. I enjoy learning Chinese and when I'm finished with my German proficiency tests for the European Commission, I'll pick up Chinese again.
