About Me

Often found with my nose in a book, I like to see what stories can reveal to me about the world, other people's worlds and if I'm lucky maybe my own.... Everything literary or musical excites me, anything incorporating both has me in ecstasy.... I'm surprisingly shy but social, love to talk but not to hear myself....Born of Irish parents but raised in London, some call me Irish, some plain English; I say it matters not a jot... wherever my family and friends are is the always comfy pillow of my world... If you asked me what I look for in a friend I would say sincerity and kindness of heart...I could continue listing my attributes but find talking about myself boring as mud. If you want to know anything it's as easy as asking.... MyGen Profile Generator MyGen Profile Generator

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Samuel Beckett. Martin Heidegger. Oscar Wilde (for obvious reasons) Jarvis Cocker. Jeremy Clarkson. Jeremy Paxman. Billy Connolly. Mark Lamaar. The one who worked out that 'In order to understand the world, one has to turn away from it on occasion.'- Albert Camus. Basically those I suspect would be interesting and honest conversationalists.NOTE: I don't do random adds just to bump up my friend count so don't bother asking :o)

Yes, you are cynical, but more than anything, you're a realist.
You see what's screwed up in the world, but you also take time to remember what's right. How Cynical Are You?

Should you expect to see something that you hadn't seen In somebody you'd known since you were sixteen; if love is a bolt from the blue, then what is that bolt but a glorified screw? and that doesn't...
