Michèle Raffaele

Michèle Raffaele was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. She started playing the piano when she was a child and a few years later was composing her first songs. As a teenager, she improvised in the hall of the Jasper Park Lodge in the Rocky Mountains in Canada. She then completed her degree in Piano Performance at McGill University where she also studied composition. Later, she became interested in vocal music and composed a song-cycle, setting 5 of Irving Layton's poems to music. Her love for the Italian language and her desire to take classical voice lessons brought her to Italy where she still lives. She is currently working on a series of songs which will part of her fist CD entitled "Minor Offender", which she performed at "Giardino Magico" - Busnelli theater, Dueville...Michèle Raffaele è nata e cresciuta a Montreal, Canada. Ha iniziato a suonare il pianoforte in tenera età e giovanissima compose le sue prime canzoni. Da adolescente improvvisò presso la hall del Jasper Park Lodge sulle Montagne Rocciose in Canada. Si laureò in Piano Performance presso la McGill University dove studiò anche composizione. In seguito si interessò alla musica vocale e compose un ciclo di canzoni musicando 5 poesie di Irving Layton. Il suo amore per la lingua italiana e il suo desiderio di studiare canto lirico la portarono a trasferirsi in Italia dove attualmente vive. Attualmente sta lavorando ad una serie di canzoni che diverranno parte del suo primo cd "Minor Offender" , che ha eseguito presso il "Giardino Magico" - l'arena estiva del teatro Busnelli di Dueville (Vi).
