Theta Lambda Delta Sorority, Inc. was established as the sister organization of Pi Delta Gamma Fraternity, Inc. on July 6th, 2007. The brothers of Pi Delta Gamma Fraternity, Inc. envisioned a change within African American Greek Fraternities and Sororities that could be passed on and shared with a sister organization.The ladies of Theta Lambda Delta Sorority, Inc. share the principles of Integrity & Dedication; and believe in serving the community with pride, dignity, and honor; with the brothers of Pi Delta Gamma Fraternity, Inc.African American sororities were established during a time of strong stereotypical views & sexism towards women. The 1st African American sororities were established in early twentieth century as social organizations for women. Sororities were organized to implement a support system for students attending institutes of higher learning. The ladies of Theta Lambda Delta Sorority Inc. are committed to continuing on the legacy of integrity, public service, and activism.
