I went to Monroe High School (by Toledo but still in Michigan) graduated in 1992. There I was well known for wrestling. That was my life, that was all I knew. In between the hellish wrestling lifestyle (cutting massive weight, weight-lifting, running, wrestling for hours a day, injuries, and cauliflower ear) I dabbled in drums for fun. I was teaching myself by playing to my boom box in my parents basement. Next I went to Eastern Michigan University where I wrestled for two years after quitting once or twice because I was so sick of cutting weight and training all the damn time. I realized that there was no money in wrestling (real wrestling) and not much glory (even at the college level (no outsiders really get into it like football, hockey, and basketball). So I decided to start partying a bit (actually a lot) and started getting bad grades. I finally got my shit together and graduated in seven years (no I'm not a doctor lol). I moved back to Monroe and got a mediocre job while trying to find a job in my profession. Two years later I got a job in Detroit and moved up to Sterling Hts on my own. Since then I have met a lot of great people who I call great friends now. I began playing in bands and finally landed a solid spot in a reputable band 60 second crush after many auditions (bastards)! I've worked my way into the Detroit music scene and am quite happy at my success at the local level. I'm glad to say that people call me when they need some recording done, or someone to fill in for a show. I'm also glad to say that great local bands ask me to sit in w/ them from time to time. I consider this an honor. Along with my band endeavors, I'm also a grad school student. I'm proud to say that I recently completed my pain in the butt thesis and have only one class to finish this summer. Then all of my friends will call me master schimdog lol! This is my life in a nutshell bitches!

My Interests

I'd rather not disclose my day job info to the public because it may ruin my reputation lol! I enjoy playing drums with my two bands. I have recently had a lot of requests to record with different bands and individuals. So I learned how to play to that God awful "click track" and have been doing some session drumming. It's not that bad actually once you learn how to play absolute perfect time. The key is to make it sound natural and not robotic, I guess I was just a natural at picking that up thank God, because a lot of drummers just can't learn it.
