I sincerely doubt that the "About Me" box on MySpace is anywhere adequate enough to describe who I am but I suppose that I must put something here.I originated in Chicagoland, but moved to Colorado in 2001 to be nearer the Rocky Mountains that I so dearly love. To date, I've climbed 7 of our 54 peaks above 14,000 feet (locally known as the 14ers) and plan to get at least a couple more this summer. It's always great fun to spend a summer acclimating to life in the rarified air of our high country and then head back to Illinois for holidays. There is SOOOOOO much oxygen down there! ;-)I'm an avid photographer and spend a lot of time taking photos of the stunning landscapes that Colorado has to offer. I also enjoy taking photos of railroads, railroading and railroaders. I use both digital and film methods of capture and enjoy time in both Photoshop and in the darkroom. Some day soon I hope to start a fine art company selling my prints (at least enough to support random attacks of LBA - Lens Buying Addiction).Experiencing music, both actively and passively, is one of my favorite pasttimes. I absolutely love to listen to music, and doubt there's many experiences better than a good live performance. Additionally, I cantor at my church and can occasionally be convinced to sing tenor with an organized choir. I've even sung with the CU Alumni choir, depsite the fact that I'm not an alumnus of that institution. I play a little piano and gradually am working at improving that skill. I also own an electric bass, though I have not done much with it.I love to travel, and have spent the past few years experiencing some of the great wonders of the west like the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone National Park and Arches National Park. I'm traveling to Alaska for the first time this summer. While I love experiencing the great places of America, I'd like to start traveling the world as well.I'd call myself a fairly dedicated sports fan. I've become a Rockies fan since I moved out here and I think that Coors Field is one of the most underappreciated stadiums in the MLB. I still follow my Cubbies, too, but the Rox have to be number one. Despite my Chicagoan origination, I'm a die hard Packer fan (a fact that my uncles greatly resent). I don't follow basketball or hockey very closely, but since my company has a suite at the Pepsi Center, I do catch Nuggs and Avs games fairly often.In the end, I'm just trying to experience as much as life has to offer and live each day to its fullest potential. It's been a good ride so far and I look forward to what the future holds.
