I walked with the same pastor for 20 years, before being called to pastor myself. I pastored a church and other pastors for 10 years and during that time, God authenticated me. What do I mean by being authenticated? Pastoring will cause you to believe and trust God unlike being in any other situation. It taught me to love the unlovable. It taught me to die to myself. It taught me to believe the imposible. And it moved me from religion to relationship! If you want to get a glimpse of what God has deposited in me just read my blog. During that time along with my wife Dr. Dora Sanders Hill we co-founded Victory to Glory ministries. We equally share a mandate From God to move the church from warring with satan to worshiping God. We serve the God of peace. Jesus is the Prince of peace. We have the Gospel of peace. Nowhere have we been given a mandate to battle and war with satan. I did'nt get saved to battle! I came out of the world because I was tired of fighting to have peace. When we move satan from the equation it leaves us personally responsible for some of the things that go wrong in our lives. That gives us more time blessing God and less time casting out flat tire deamons or coming against a satanic attack on our finances. Instead of battling satan for our finances lets control our spending and give our tithe consistently. If I have a bad marriage it's not satan's fault. It's mine for not making the right choices concerning my marriage. I also understand that God has my life in his hands, and God is too wise to create a being that he has no control over. 1st John 3:8 says He that commiteth sin is of the devil;for the devil sinneth from the begining. For this purpose was the Son of Man manifested,that He might destroy the works of the devil. Beloved it is Jesus' job to battle with satan and, it's part of God's plan of redemption for man. Satan is not some free radical that can atack the children of God at will. To tell the world that we can be attacked by satan when ever he chooses says we serve a God that cant protect us!!! If he had to get permission to buffet Job, are we any less in the sight of God than Job?
