KnaLedge also Known as Joseph G. Subero Was Born on August 12th 1988 in the Harlem Hospital of Manhattan, New York. The 20 year old Songwriter has set out to make his mark in the history of the music industry. Since the Age of Ten KnaLedge has had his eyes on the prize making him one of today's most hungry paper chasers. Kna'Ledge who first set out to be an artist At The age of ten, realized his passion for hip-hop when he came across a DMX track in his brother's car. "It was Stop Being Greedy, when I heard the song it sent chills through my spine, I knew I wanted to Rap."Said KnaLedge in his most recent interview.
KnaLedge was inspired by DMX and Joe Budden,Two of today's most over-looked artists. KnaLedge who is now 20 didn't always think the music scene was easy to get into. He began writing at the age of ten, and soon began to battle local artists from his neighborhood.
At an early age KnaLedge,His Brother, and Mother Moved To Southern New Jersey to a Small Town called Galloway, just 15 minutes outside of Atlantic City. There KnaLedge linked up with a Group Called Jerzey’s Most Blunted "J.M.B." They dropped their first offical mixtape when Kna'Ledge was only seventeen receiving a tremendous buzz. The Mixtape was entitled "GET DOWN OR GO BROKE." After the Groups break-up, KnaLedge realized that he can be replaced at anytime when it comes to music. "Music is not Guaranteed for anyone, everybody raps now a days, you can be replaced in an instant!" said Kna'Ledge. Which is why the young emcee set his eyes on a new goal at an early age. At The age of 18, he began to really learn the Business side of the Music Industry after numerous conversations with a friend by the name of Deon(“Xâ€)
He enrolled himself in Berklee College of Music where he studied everything from management to marketing earning him a Masters Degree in Music Business.
This young Entrepreneur has definitely earned the right to be the Prince of New Jersey and has also earned the A&R position for Baker Boyz Ent..
KnaLedge is a definite hard worker and hopes to someday influence others to work hard in achieving their goals. One of Kna'Ledge's main goals is to give back to his community. Growing up in New Jersey and beginning to rap at such a young age no one wanted to give him a chance at first, not only that but he was not able to afford studio time until he became old enough to work, which is why he hopes to build a studio in the town he grew up in, and hire professional engineers and make the studio affordable for anyone who desires to record. Another step KnaLedge would like to take is to start a non-profit organization that builds recreation centers in not only poor neighborhoods but in poor countries. KnaLedge being Dominican also hopes to give back to his people by building a huge recreation center that involves air-conditioning, indoor pools, basketball courts and an indoor baseball field. “It’s the little things we never take advantage of, like having a plate a food on your table every night, having hot water to take a shower in, or even just having your lights on everyday.†says KnaLedge
which is why KnaLedge hopes to add aid in helping the country and places with similar conditions.
