They function differently in society that chimpanzees, pan troglodytes. PTs like to fight a lot. Males sometimes beat up females, and it’s a very patriarchal situation. But bonobo philosophy is “make love, not war.†We are egalitarian, and take good care of the females. Some may say we’re sexually licentious, but I don’t mind.
