I love color...to be specific, primary colors. Red is my absolute favorite. Green is also pretty fabulous. Yellow too. I greatly dislike purple and pink. Pastels make me ill. I have recently found I have a flair for interior design. Home Depot is a new mecca of mine. I love paint, and trim, and molding, and drawer hardware, and flooring, and lighting, and hand sanders...its weird, but it makes sense. My love of color has found a new home in my new joy in design! I hope my swinging pad someday reflects this...we shall see :(. I also have a sick, enduring love for fashion. New York Fashion Week is to me what dreams are made of! I'm a traditionalist when it comes to fashion, so more along the lines of Carolina Herrera, Vera Wang, Donna Karan, and Christain Dior, than Dolce & Gabbana, Heatherette, or Tuleh. I need to make lots more money though and/or become one of the gals on Sex & the City in order to maintain the fashion lifestyle I really want! I also LOVE traveling. I've been lucky enough to see a lot of places, but not nearly enough to suit my needs. Seeing the world is my ultimate goal in life. I hope to spend 2007 in many fabulous places in both the U.S. and overseas (so far British Colombia, Hawaii, Colorado, D.C., Oregon, Phoenix, Iowa (don't knock it), Minnesota, Mexico, and Canada again). I also enjoy and have a great family and group of friends. Then there's my 4 baby boys (Bandit, Jax & Logan) and Rob. They make my world complete. Without them, I'd be even more neurotic than I already am.
You Belong in London
A little old fashioned, and a little modern.
A little traditional, and a little bit punk rock.
A unique woman like you needs a city that offers everything.
No wonder you and London will get along so well.
What City Do You Belong In?
I'd like to meet:
Madonna would be cool to meet. Bet she has some stories...and I wouldn't mind running into David Beckham or Matthew McConaughey someday...yum!
Music:
Keane, Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Coldplay, Paolo Nutini, Tori Amos, System of a Down, Sia, Rufus Wainwright, Imogen Heap, Frou Frou, Travis, George Michael (love him!), Soundgarden, Zero 7, Norah Jones, Amy Winehouse, David Gray, Regina Spektor, Dave Matthews, The LeRoy Bell Band, Gorillaz, Esthero, Sarah McLachlan, Mary J. Blige, Neil Diamond, and Barry Manilow. And I am digging me some JT these days for long runs. That white boy can sing!
Movies:
My absolute favorite is CLUE. I just love Tim Curry. I also like The Princess Bride, Million Dollar Baby, The Neverending Story, Moulin Rouge, Casino, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Can't Buy me Love, Office Space, Dirty Dancing, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Crash, The Usual Suspects, The Red Violin, Napolean Dynamite, Mary Poppins, and the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...really, anything terribly funny or overly dramatic.
Television:
I hate it when people say that they "don't really watch TV." Oh shut up, yeah you do. Everyone sits down and watches TV every now and again. Its not gonna kill you. Anyway, for me LOST is hands down The Best TV Show Ever (!!). This is followed very closely by HEROES. Both shows are entirely too engrossing! Project Runway is the best reality show out there (with much love to Design Star, Top Chef, Flip This-That House, & Designed to Sell). Law and Order SVU is the best version on TV. Nip-Tuck is freaking awesome. And I have very strong feelings for HGTV (I could watch it all day) and Bravo TV. They have THE best shows. And the oldies but goodies that I'll always love...Sex and the City and Buffy 4 eva!! Oh, and there is a new show called Pushing Daisies on NBC (HDTV) that makes my heart melt with every episode. I highly remommend it.
Books:
I love to read more than anything, and will therefore read almost anything! My favorite's are the Harry Potter series (the last one had me bawling by mid-book), The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Alchemist, Jonathon Strange and Mr. Norrell, The Historian, Middlesex, The World is Flat (Tom Friedman is a wise man), The Hiding Place, Fahrenheit 451, Don Quixote (en espanol), and anything by David Sedaris, Jane Austen or Shell Silverstein. I give mad props to Where the Sidewalk Ends.
Heroes:
My parents. My wee baby sister. Marilyn Monroe. Oprah. Corrie Ten Boom. MLK Jr. Mister Rogers.
