Design, Art, Technology, fashion and music with big drums.
I work at Hornall Anderson. I make interactive experiences, which is a fancy way of saying I basically build websites. Some of them are cool and a few of them are kind of lame. I do not take responsibility for the lame ones. The cool ones, I do.
I learned what I know mostly from tinkering at home on my own when I was supposed to be doing homework in college. Sorry college. Tinkering pays off a lot more. Not that I'm not thankful. Thank you RIT, for 'The RIT Style', which is clean gridded, empty, and very, very stale. Just like Rochester. Except with less murders per capita.
I have an expensive camera set up that I don't use nearly enough. Strobist.
I used to draw a lot, and I should do that more often. I have a new website that is on the verge of being finished and has been for . . a few months. It'll be done soon, I promise.
I am addicted to Nice Collective shirts/hoodies, S2A shoes and Nudie denim.
I really like music and I have a very strange pattern of listening the sh*t out of a record before I tire of it and move on. I mean, I play it like 1000 times before I get tired of it.
I like nice & friendly Sufjan Stevens just like your grandma and cool cousin but I also like bands who are either tonally offensive ("Sounds like trashy old noise to me! That's not music!") like The Locust or The Blood Brothers or are hyper aggresive like Dillinger Escape Plan. I don't like the brute-dumb versions of these bands - I like my screamo with a bit of sass, divergent or unsettling influences or music-nerdy-metal-prog thrown in.
I also like The Smashing Pumpkins more than any one person should.
I go to Mars Hill Church. Jesus is my General.
If I don't know you in real life, then I will probably ignore you. Sorry.
I'm kind of a big nerd, as evidenced bt the multiple comments below like, "Nerd!".
Sorry again...[if !IE]
