Greetings!
My name is Susan Rowe. I live in the Sierra foothills of Eastern Madera County near Yosemite with my husband Mike. In 2003, I became very active in Central California's Democratic Party progressive grassroots. In 2004, I was elected to serve on the Board of Trustees for the Democrats In Action! Grassroots Service Office located in Fresno, and as Vice Chair for the Madera County Democratic Central Committee, and also won the 1st Delegate position in the 19th Congressional District (CA) to the National Democratic Party Convention for Gov. Howard Dean's Presidential bid in 2004. During the California Democratic Party Convention, held January 16-18, 2004 in San Jose I was awarded “Democrat of the Year” for CDP Region 8 by Regional Director, John Veen. In January 2005, I was elected to serve as Chair for Madera County Democratic Central Committee and as the Executive Board Representative for 25th Assembly District Democratic Committee to the California Democratic Party. In January, 2007, I was re-elected to serve as Chair for Madera County Democratic Central Committee and as a Delegate representing the 25th Assembly District Democratic Committee to the California Democratic State Central Committee. I'm also a local DFA Group Organizer and a DFA-Link Host. This year (2007) marks the fourth California Democratic Party Convention that I have attended as a Delegate.

Education and Professional Experience: Attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana (ballet and voice), Commercial Banking (over 11 years’ experience), dance and gymnastics instructor.
Personal: My husband (Mike) and I were born and raised in Anderson, Indiana. We both come from a long tradition and lineage of proud Democrats and grew up with the traditional mid-western values of family, faith and community. Our fathers and their fathers were/are members of UAW Local 662. My maternal grandparents were rural Democrats. Mike and I moved from Indiana to California in 1983 and have been married for 24 years. I am presently a homemaker and Mike is an attorney.
On April 28, 2007 I ran for the California Democratic Party Regional Director position in CDP Region 7 here is a partical listing of my endorsements in that race which I lost. Lt.
