The Word of God. All else is subject to that, and I have lost sight of that in certain areas of my life.
I'd like to meet:
I don't like meeting people.
Music:
Hymns, old and new. Classical, Metal.
Books:
I'll take The Bible for 700, Alex.
I do a great deal of reading, actually. I enjoy the genres of Fantasy, Mystery, Sci-Fi, Historical Fiction (preferably Celtic/Scottish) and....Mafia novels. For me, reading is an escape...as a result, I enjoy fiction primarily. Usually I'm in the mood for fantasy, which is about as fantastic as you can get! However, I've got books in all genres.
In terms of specific books, I have far too many to list, but I'll toss out a couple of favorites:
Fantasy: Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time, George R. R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire, Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, Melanie Rawn's Dragon Prince and Dragon Star trilogies, Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman's Darksword Saga, Weis and Hickman's Dragonlance trilogy (original so far, though I hope to read some of the others), J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series, Stephen Lawhead's Song of Albion trilogy, Lawhead's Pendragon Cycle, among many others! (Fantasy is definitely my favorite genre, though there ARE some novels/series' that I definitely didn't like as much. The Thomas Covenant original trilogy is definitely one of those.)
Sci-Fi: Neal Stephenson's Snow Crash, William Gibson's Neuromancer (and subsequent novels, though not quite as much as Neuromancer), Battletech and Mechwarrior novels, and Stephen Lawhead's Empyrion books, also Lawhead's Dream Thief.
Historical Fiction: I've not read as many of these books, but I do like the Sword Cycle by J. Ardian Lee, and Legend of the Celtic Stone (the author of which I do not remember at the moment.)
Those are my specifics, though I've enjoyed other books (Like the DaVinci Code, etc.) If you're wondering if I've read a specific series, or would like to suggest a series for me to read, I'd love to hear from you.
Heroes:
Calvin, Luther, Zwingli....men who saw theological corruption, and didn't love their lives so much that they were paralyzed into not doing something about it.Oh, and brewmasters the world over.
