About Me

DRO MUSIC
"CHAMPIONS AREN'T MADE IN GYMS. CHAMPIONS ARE MADE FROM SOMETHING THEY HAVE DEEP INSIDE THEM- A DESIRE, A DREAM, A VISION. THEY HAVE TO HAVE LAST-MINUTE STAMINA, THEY HAVE TO BE A LITTLE FASTER, THEY HAVE TO HAVE THE SKILL AND THE WILL. BUT THE WILL MUST BE STRONGER THAN THE SKILL...."
"I SHOCKED THE WORLD WHEN I UPSET SONNY LISTON, I SHOCKED THE WORLD WHEN I JOINED THE NATION OF ISLAM, AND I SHOCKED THE WORLD WHEN I UPSET GEORGE FOREMAN,..... I AM FROM THE HOUSE OF SHOCK"
-The Great Muhammed Ali

Who is Dro?
The playground champ that neva got his chance to play in the NBA.....
Maybe.
The lunatic that neva got over his Gulf War Syndrome.....
Maybe.
The lyricist lookin to send a message that can spark a change....
Yea, thats it.
Dro has been doin this for ten years now...meet many people-fans, supporters, promoters, investors, producers,...believers. Dro does this for the music, just like Mike did it for the game. Started in Philly, Dro while locked up in group homes, wrote lyrics, freestyled, and battled everyday. The North Philadelphia native spent the next seven years, tryin to find a way to reach others. From mixtapes to cameos, Dro appeared determine to fulfill his dreams. But without the knowledge of the industry and the money to back up his dreams, he had to settle for a five year contract with the military. Dro served and toured to twleve different countries in all, He's been to Spain, Germany, Korea, Iceland, Canada, Qatar, Kuwait, Baharan, Egypt, Afghanistan, and Iraq. During these tough times, Dro wrote accounts of his travels, and tours. He never stopped writing music, and soon began performin on his tours- Afghanistan, Iraq, Germany, Georgia.... to name a few. On his completion of his military duty, Dro moved out West and began to network with Wild 96.1. During this period of time, Dro crossed paths with the C.E.O. of NuTwist Entertainment, and now all is history.
Peace. CHANGE THE PERSPECTIVE:

There's a cultural war being waged against our community. It is being waged between the haves and the have nots. The haves have control over all of the media outlets. They decide the message and overnight can reach the millions of youth. The have nots have spent way too much time hoping to use the have's resources to reach folk. It's not going to happen. The only reason it happened in the past (i.e. the PE era) was that the industry was still learning how to use their tools to affect our community. They used industry rule number one - controversey and succeeded with it. They still use it today, whether the controversey be outlandish sexual inuendo or bullet wounds. The truth simply can't play that game successfully. Artists have died proving this. What advantage then do the have nots have? They are in the community. Jimmy Iovine couldn't go to the block himself and say hey keep promoting violence, use drugs and exploit women. He has to have an agent do it for him. The have nots are on the block everyday. Talk to the people. Talk about what they see. Help them disect it. Explain to them what publicity stunts are so they can recognize them when they see them. Explain to them why all diamonds have blood on them. Tell them the gear they are rocking so hard was made by their cousin on lock down. Give them the message music. Work with them. It'll take months if not years, but keep at it. And if you make music, change your focus. Relevance is not determined by the TV screen. Relevance is what the cats on the block are dealing with everyday. Make relevant music, not music to break in.
To all those people who support my music, our cause, and our struggles, thankx...we still here. Because of shows and recordings I've been mad busy, but I will hit everyone back that hits me up. I got a message to make, my music is open for you to download and add to your site. Tell your friends about us, bulletin us, and support us. The Hip-Hop Revolution is here.
