About Me

"The details of my life are quite inconsequential. Very well, where do I begin... My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament." - Dr. Evil
I just had to put that quote in there.
Let's see...what should you know about me...
1. I love certain movies and I become obsessed with them. Above is a good example of what I mean. (also, from now on you may refer to me as 'Cleric John Preston')
2. I used to do freelance PHP and web design work for a living, but now I'm delving into photography as a career.
3. I own my own company doing item 2.
4. David Duchovny is both my TV and real life hero. He's more intelligent than you'd think.
5. I'm a very shy person, and as much as I don't want to be, I cannot escape who I am. So I just have to live with it.
6. I attend (only to photograph) an open mic event called the Late Night Series (LNS) at Mercer County Community College almost every-other Friday night.
7. I like any kind of music - from Sarah Brightman to Avril Lavigne. Also, some people are put off because I like popular music, but those people should know that I don't JUST like popular music, I like ALL music.
8. I like any sort of oddity, including things that aren't really odd at all (like graveyards or abandoned buildings). I particularly like this site: http://www.unquiettomb.com It's about NJ, NY, and PA oddities and such.
9. I have long hair. As in down to my mid-back.
10. I collect CD soundtracks from movies. As soon as I see a movie that I liked, I'll go out and buy the soundtrack. Even if I only liked the movie and not the soundtrack.
11. One of these days I'll finish designing my site, and put the link here. One of these days.

Goodbye Sterling

I'm really not sure why I'm writing this. Not only do I not feel like it, but no one reading this truly understands how I feel right now. To nearly all people, pets are expendable. But not to me.After...

Hope

I realized something just now, and it makes a lot of sense. If such a place as hell really exists, then it is only made so by a lack of hope. Because that's what separates us from our ultimate fears -...

Warning: Nothing optimistic

For a change of scenery, I'm posting here instead of my usual LiveJournal. I don't think anyone reads this though.  After much deliberation I've decided that the soundtrack for my life consist...

Something from LAST year

When I got home tonight from the LNS, I wanted to post something on my blog that I had written last year. As I was opening it, I noticed the file had been created on 10/29/04 - almost EXACTLY (within ...

A weird poem thing I wrote a few weeks ago

Here's a weird little poem/story/piece-of-crap that I wrote a few weeks ago. There's this place in my mind, like a memory almost, that I feel I've been to. Maybe in a dream, or a past life, who knows....
