Stolen Idols

About Me

Stolen Idols play authentic 1950s/60s-era exotica, the tropical mood-music jazz subgenre pioneered by Martin Denny and Les Baxter. We play our own seductive arrangements of standards, spot-on recreations of exotica classics, and original compositions designed to keep the tiki torch burning. Our core lineup is a quintet with piano, upright bass, vibes/marimba, and two percussionists.Stolen Idols believe that Florida, with its tropical climate and historical image as an exotic paradise getaway, has long deserved its own exotica combo. Now it has one.
