Il gruppo nasce tramite alcune prove nei pressi di varese nel 2005, formato da ben 7 componenti caotici ed inesperti, per arrivare poi alla classica formazione a quattro, molto più tranquilla ed ordinata. I componenti iniziali sono: Michele, voce e 2° chitarra , Raffaele(Inzi) alla chitarra solista, Andrea al basso ed ai cori e Michael alla batteria. Dopo i primi sei mesi la formazione cambia, vedendo Carlo sostituirsi a Michael alla batteria.Il nuovo arrivato si integra perfettamente nella band e spesso aiuta, con il suo umorismo, a calmare le acque tra gli altri componenti, spesso riottosi. La nuova "postazione" della band diviene la cantina di Carlo. Il gruppo verrà spesso criticato dai vicini di casa per l'eccesivo rumore causato e ai ragazzi verranno imposti rigidi limiti di orario per le prove.Nell'estate 2006 la band sceglie il proprio nome: "Dreamers of Fame". Il gruppo si esibirà in pubblico quattro volte, sviluppando un sound simile al punk/ska italiano, composto da cover e pezzi propri. Intorno a questo periodo i ragazzi scoprono una band emergente, che ha appena pubblicato il suo primo album, chiamata Arctic Monkeys. I quattro ragazzi di Sheffield influenzano quasi tutti i "Dreamers of Fame" tramite quei suoni indie, che porteranno poi alla trasformazione dello stile della band. Così, quando Michi ed Inzi (compagni di classe) assistono al primo concerto dei Monkeys, si innamorano follemente di loro e diventano fan accaniti. L'unico che sembra non amare questa influenza british sembra Andrea, che dopo numerosi litigi lascia la band. E' il maggio 2007.((Nel mese di giugno Andy Nicholson, bassista degli Arctic Monkeys, lascia la band)). Nel periodo seguente la band rimarrà improduttiva per parecchio tempo.I tre componenti restanti si mettono in cerca di un nuovo bassista e, dopo un paio di mesi trovano Jacopo, che frequenta la stessa scuola di Raffaele e Michele, ma, invece di essere della classe 1992 è della classe 1991, come il batterista Carlo. La band cambia radicalmente, rinnovando completamente il repertorio di cover e producendo nuovi pezzi propri che cambiano lo stile. La band si avvicina infatti ad un sound più british, con covers di Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes, Franz Ferdinand, The Kooks, Editors, David bowie ecc. La band ha prodotto diversi pezzi propri e tre di questi sono stati registrati nell'estate 2008 e si possono ascoltare in questa pagina. Dall'inizio del 2009 la band si è esibita in diversi locali del varesotto e del milanese, vincendo anche il concorso per artisti emergenti VA SUL PALCO, il cui premio è una registrazione di un singolo con la casa discografica "Ghost Records". At this time Andrea plays the bass and is the back voice, Raffaele (Inzi) plays the lead guitar, Michele has the role of lead singer and second guitar and Michael is the drummer.After six months suddenly a new drummer appears and takes Michael’s place, he seems to integrate very well in the band and in a very short time he becomes necessary to keep peace between the other components who argue too many times. So the band “exploits the new resources†and starts rehearsing in the basement of Carlo’s house, with big regrets for the many neighbours which decide that the noise is too loud and put strict time limitations on the band’s rehearsals. In the summer of 2006 the band decides to call itself " Dreamers Of Fame". The four young boys play 4 concerts around Varese and develop an Italian punk/ska sound with own composed songs and cover songs of many kinds. At this time the components starts listening to a new band that just made their first album, they are called the Arctic Monkeys. Slowly these 4 boys coming from Sheffield start to change the band with their indie sound from every part and most the Dreamers Of Fame seem to appreciate it. So when Michele and Inzi(classmates) go to the first Monkeys concert in Milan, they just fall in love with the Monkeys and become huge fans of them. The only one who doesn’t seem to like this Indie approach that much is Andrea, that after huge arguments leaves the band in may 2006. ((In June of the same year, occasionally also Andy Nicholson, the bassist of the Arctic Monkeys, leaves the band.)) The following months are very unproductive for the band due to a desperate research for a new bassist that shows up a couple of months later. His name is Jacopo and is actually going in the same school of Inzi and Michele, but instead of being a “class ‘92†like Raffa and Michele, he is one year older, like Carlo. In a very short time the band makes huge steps and also applies huge changes. With the entrance of Jacopo in the band, finally the four players get much closer to a british sound with cover songs of e.g. Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes, Franz Ferdinand, The Kooks, Editors and David Bowie. The band produced also some songs and three of them were recorded in the summer 2008 and can be listened in this page. Since the beginning of the year 2009 the band performed various gigs in clubs around Varese and Milan, and won the music contest "VA SUL PALCO", getting as a prize the recording of a single with the "Ghost Records" recording label. The single will probably be recorded around september.
