Hi everyone! My real name is Gianni. I am Italian and right now I live in Prato, near Florence. But I lived in Edinburgh for 2 years, then I lived in London for 7 years and then in New York for another 7! I loooove New York! I'm a singer (and a translator and life model, to make a living!!). Singing is EVERYTHING to me and I obviously want to have a career as a singer! I don't care about anything else. It's a real...VOCATION for me! I sing almost any style, from opera (I'm a classically-trained tenor) to melodic stuff, from show tunes to club stuff and rock. I am told I am extremely versatile. I don't write songs; I'm an interpreter, I sing other people's songs. I have a wide range and can sing really low notes and really high ones (up to high F). In "VOGUE" you will hear two high C sharp's (when I sing "GET UP ON THE DANCEFLOOR"). And I'm always looking for musicians and people to collaborate with (singing and recording their songs, making videos etc. I LOOOOVE creating, making art!!!). As I've written above, I work as a translator but also as a life model, which is what I did in New York virtually full time; I used to pose for artists and at art institutes for 9 hours a day!! It's a horribly and UNIMAGINABLY hard job! But I'm considered a terrific model, and I needed to work!! I also worked as a waiter, a cleaner and a shop assistant. In other words, I have lived and keep living the life performers live until they make it!! It's a hard life and full of sacrifices, but it always depends what you want in life, right? What your priorities are, right? I live for ART and SINGING and want to be onstage. When I get up on stage, well, the minute I step on it, the first board I feel under my feet, well, I enter another dimension, a WONDERFUL and INDESCRIBABLE dimension and I feel I'm finally AT HOME! Yes, the stage is HOME for me!!! I love going to the movies! I am also very vain, I have no problem admitting that! Therefore, I love having beautiful pictures taken of me. But it's also my desire to create, to make ART! Indeed, I'm very lucky: I met a great painter from Greece who lives in Florence; besides doing some great portraits drawings of me and a great painting, he also took photos of me which I like very much; I have posted several here, so, if you like, look at them and tell me what you think!
