My name is Jade Heusen and I am 18 years old, from Sidmouth in Devon. I am training to be a ballerina at Elmhurst School for Dance in Edgbaston, Birmingham. I have been vocationally training since the age of 11; firstly at The Royal Ballet's lower school "White Lodge" which is based in Richmond, Surrey. I completed that course, graduating at the age of 16 and have since been at Elmhurst. At the moment I am rehearsing for the summer dance show and training non-stop to prepare myself for my graduating year. I am an only child, which has been great for me as it has enabled my parents to be able to see me as often as possible. I have always enjoyed being an only child perhaps that is because I have been blessed with amazing friends many who have become like my adopted sisters and brothers. I am very loyal and always put others first. I love to listen to people and take interest in other people and their lives. I also like to talk and I enjoy the company of all ages. This is probably because despite being mature I am easily capable of having hyper and silly or nonsense times with my friends and I love a good laugh! I endeavour to be a positive person constantly, even when struggling to deal with an issue, and I am very good at looking strong and happy even when something is niggling me inside. This isn't a cover up or me being false but it is because i am quite a deep person and unless I need someone else's help I prefer to sort out the situation myself, unnoticably, in my own way. I love being a pleasant person and despite my deep desire to be successful, I take great pride in remaining grounded and never letting it 'go to my head'. I believe this is key to being special within the realm of success and I would love to slip into this catagory. I feel really big-headed writing this section all about me, sorry if it comes across brash or boastful - its difficult to portray tone and explain feelings in words.
