I am an orange tabby. I turned one year old this October. I'm deaf, but Samantha (Sam) is teaching me sign language. Seriously. I already know the signs for "come" and "food." I have a three-year-old sibling named Benjamin. He doesn't look anything like me at all. He is deaf, too, but he has a cochlear implant. (Did I mention that he's human?). He knows LOTS more signs than me. I know who's coming around the hall-way corner from the vibrations of their feet on the wood floors. When I feel three-year-old vibrations, I scat (Ben’s a little rough on me when his mom's not around to supervise). If I hear Sam or Hiro (Ben’s Mom & Dad) coming round the bend, I stay put, ‘cause they're both nice, and they'll actually step over me if I'm lying in the middle of the doorway (three-year-olds don't seem to excel at this particular ability.) I also have an OLD sibling, Hiro’s cat from before he got married. He's an orange tabby, too, named Mo (‘cause he came from Missouri). He can hear (when he wants to), but he often ignores everybody ‘cause he's fifteen years old, and a bit on the grumpy side.
☼ CALL ME WALL∙E.
I’m really a lot like my namesake. I like to collect things I think are pretty. I love to travel, especially in the car. When people see me riding in the car, they think I’m a weird looking dog, since I like to ride with my head out the window. I have a brother named Mo. Well, all right, he’s not REALLY my brother, but Mo and I have to stick together since we’re the only cats in the house. He’s a lot older than me, and he does NOT like to ride in cars, but we get along and like to cuddle to keep warm during our naps. I have another brother named Benjamin. OK….He’s not really my brother, either. He’s not even a cat. But I sure do love that little one who is going on four years old. In some ways, we have more in common than me and Mo, since Benjamin and I are both deaf. We get along great now that I’ve turned one year old, and I like cuddling with Benjamin just as much as I like cuddling with Mo.
