Just a bit about me..
I work in the child welfare system, with foster kids and foster parents. I really love what I do. I think this is part of my calling in life. I just wish the money was much nicer. I teach American Sign Language at a local college part time. I'm going to be going back to school to earn my MA in Mental Health Counseling. This is with the goal of eventually opening up my private practice. Being my own boss sounds like a real nice idea.
I own and run my own animal shelter, Fur Angels Animal Sanctuary, and what makes my rescue rather unique is that I work with deaf animals. Unfortunately, this means I get slammed with a lot of pleas and requests from all over the country to rescue them. Space is such a major issue. I have my own fur babies. 5 dogs and 6 cats. Three of my dogs are deaf. I'm definitely an animal lover, can't you tell?

7 for having a Cochlear Implant. I've been deaf/hard of hearing since 3 years old, and again at 12 years old. I debated having this done for a few years, but now was a good time for me to do this. Technology keeps getting better and better. It's a long progress, but i'm just going with the flow. I come from a deaf family. Both of my parents are profoundly deaf and my awesome little sister is deaf too. So I'm very fluent in ASL.
People who know me well know I'm very passionate about "pit bulls". I have four of them, and I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world. BSL is a scary thing to happen to us bully owners and lovers. It's a shame that the breed has to be blamed for a few deeds a few bad apples have done. I also REALLY hate those scums of earth who get bullies to fight them. They are truly scums of the earth. I wish nothing but the worst for them. I cannot believe they think it's okay, or it's a macho thing. Bullies are among those truly wonderful sweet, loving, loyal, incrediable dogs one could ever have, but their reputation has been shamefully marred by those idiots who own them for the wrong reasons.
