About Me

I live with my awesome wife and kickass son Jack in a 40 acre estate in rural West Dundee. I lived in Elgin for a very long time and am perhaps the biggest fan of that place. I play songs in a band called The Brokedowns . I used to be a big part of DECAL Productions and they book shows at several venues around the northwest Chicago suburbs including Clearwater Theater . I like to ride my Canadian bike all over the place, but don't ride it as often these days as I'd like to. I'm an either-way-ist. I enjoy being at home with my family, kicking it with my friends, drinking Old Style, learning things, and nerdy stuff. I tend to be caring and compassionate to all living things. I have a kickass job working with some awesome people at Management Recruiters of Elgin on the west side of Elgin. My parents live in Texas. My sister lives in Texas. My brother lives in Colorado. I live in Illinois.

"Just like what Nazi Germany did to the Jews, so liberal America is now doing to the evangelical Christians. It's no different. It is the same thing. It is happening all over again. It is the Democratic Congress, the liberal-based media and the homosexuals who want to destroy the Christians. Wholesale abuse and discrimination and the worst bigotry directed toward any group in America today. More terrible than anything suffered by any minority in history."

teachers make too much money?

So, I overheard a bunch of guys in my office debating the classic "teachers are overpaid" thing this morning.  I think that is perhaps the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Sure, school administrati...

Why aren't all pro-lifers vegetarian?

Straight To Your Brain has become the soundtrack to my drive to and from work for the last week and a half.  It's awesome, perhaps one of the best punk rock records of 2007.  And it came out...

Home Sweet Home

I must say it feels good to finally be back in Elgin again.  I'm not fully moved in yet, and in fact my apartment is quite a disasterpiece right now, but it feels like home already. There are ma...

narcolepsy is a mutherfucker

Days go by and I think the disease is getting worse.  But then I get a few days of narco-attack (as I like to call it), where I can't fight falling asleep early, then I'm revived and can control ...

Against You!

I've had this crazy obsession with Against Me! these last couple weeks.  I can't stop listening to them.  Actually, every band I've been listening to in the last two weeks is from Gainesvill...

Burn everything, start with the churches

There's an odd site on way to and from work everyday: the construction of a new church in a high visibility location.  I'm not exactly sure why this seems odd to me; I guess it just doesn't make ...

The resulting wreckage of a runaway freight train...

I've been having a lot of epiphanies lately.  I think this runaway train of my life has finally derailed or hit an old lady in a Buick.  The derailing of my runaway train of a life has left ...

Who's this Samuel Alito guy anyway?

I'm intrigued to see where this nomination will go.  Harriet Miers was an embarassment and was completely unqualified to be a Supreme Court Justice.  My guess is that she was a simple distra...

My liver will thank me later...

I've discovered lately a recurring patern in my life as to my weekends and sparatic weekdays.  They seem relatively blurry and in some cases completely blocked from memory.  Every Sunday is ...
