About Me

I'm a pretty quiet person at first but rambunctious once you get to know me. I'm a big goofball who's adventurous and daring. Someday I'll jump out of a plane and also go bungee jumping. Maybe I'll go race-car driving like I've always wanted to. In the meantime I'll keep being the monkey that I am.Some time ago I realized that I just don't care about a whole lot that I used to care about. That includes material shit that really won't and can't follow me wherever I go and I would like to explore the world. I have goals but I don't have any real expectations as to how things should go. I can only truly expect as much as I give and earn. I know what I want and it takes hard work to get where you want to be but if I worried about the future as much as some people do I would be miserable. I take life as it comes with little planning. I don't know what will happen in the future. And really as long as I have fun who the hell cares. My focus is and has always been to try to be happy but unfortunately that cannot always be. So in order to be content I do as I please. I'm a crazy workaholic meaning I like being occupied not just with work but with school, my art, drinking, my friends of course, and managing to fit sleep and food somewhere in there. I try to be healthy and remain active because I care and love myself. My passion is art and working with my hands is truly enjoyable. My main art is photography, I LOVE IT and being in the darkroom. I still work with traditional photography because it makes me happy. Digital photography is okay but I don't do it. If I ever get a digital camera it will be for snapshots. I take photos of trees and almost only of trees. I don't have any posted up because I haven't gotten around to doing it.I love taking roadtrips. Driving is totally relaxing and soothing and it also adds to who I am. And I fully understand and am fully aware of the effects of driving on the environment. That is more than I can say for others. I wonder how many of you are oblivious to Global Warming. Nonetheless driving is sometimes necessary. I really do hope that sometime soon we will have something else to make our cars run.As you can see I am opinionated. But who isn't right? You just don't want to admit it.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

My Interests

Making art in the form of photos, paintings, drawings. Working with my hands. Running, lifting weights, walking, etc; what gets my heart going...watching good flicks, music; couldn't live without it. Having a beer or two or more. Hanging out with friends.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who can keep a conversation with me.

Music:

New wave, alternative, classic rock, heavy metal, gothic, electronica, jazz, swing/big band, classical plus some punk(late 70's British) and rockabilly, as well as some folk.

Movies:

The Petrified Forest with Bette Davis and Humphfrey Bogart, A Place in the Sun, Mildred Pierce... Film Noir, Classic Movies, and so many others. Movies are fantabulous!

Television:

I threw it out the window! Not really but I did put it out on the street so it could fend for itself...At the moment I am HOOKED on Nip/Tuck. Absolutely great show. I've watched Seasons 1-3 on DVD and I can't wait for the 4th to come out on DVD.

Books:

I love them. I can always get lost in a book when time permits. Poetry, fiction, non-fiction, history, argumentative writing, science, psychology, even fantasy, etc. Some of my fav writers are Sylvia Plath, Edith Wharton, D.H. Lawrence, Emily Dickinson, Ernest Hemingway, Anne Rice (who doesn't fit w/these other writers but I don't care) and more. My favorite books are still The Vampire Chronicles and The Little House books (from when I was younger) as well as The Bell Jar.

Heroes:

My mom. She is the most influential person in my life. And of course the Buddha. His teachings are an inspiration.

Breaking down on the Bay Bridge

Ever wonder about those people whose cars break down on bridges are? Well, today I became one of those people! Yep, my broke ass decided not to get gas in the city because it's less expensive in Oakla...

This is my life.

I work, go to school, sleep and eat.  Pretty much in that order.  I try to squeeze in drinking time whenever possible.  Gotta feed the alcoholic in me.  =0)
