In the year 1985, a king was born. On a hot day in July, in a hospital on the eastern section of Long Beach, Ca, Brian Banks, aka Munz, was sent down onto earth. At the age of two, he had received his first drum set and the rest was history.
At 12, Munz held freestyle ciphers where he built his skill of beat boxing. Munz continued beat boxing and rapping throughout the remainder of his high school years, holding these ciphers under stairways and catwalks at his city’s notorious program, Long Beach Poly High School. He had no idea of the talent within him waiting to be set free.
In 2005, during his harshest conditions, Munz formulated a plan that enabled him to bring forth his creativity, ideas, and passion towards hip-hop. He decided to seek out artists of worthy stature to produce real hip-hop amongst the masses. This was the birth of Munzalino Entertainment. Munzalino Entertainment was originally a management company owned and operated solely by Munz himself. He began taking on artists. Among these artists were Chase, a hip-hop artist hailing from Compton, Ca. and Deep Rooted, a hip-hop/soul group based out of San Diego, Ca.
Being driven to connect with the essence of hip-hop, Munz began producing hip-hop events, as well as promoting them throughout Los Angeles County, further expanding his company’s horizons. Though Munzalino Entertainment began to blossom into the next entertainment giant, he still couldn’t help but feel that something was missing from his life.
Munz had always had a God given talent with words, but kept that talent buried to the public. Now with his new understanding of his destiny and purpose, he is ready to face the world and for the world to face him. Teamed with Iris Avenue Records, Munzalino Entertainment sets forth to release its greatest weapon yet...it’s sole creator.
