Uncle Nooki.e... (Producer/ Songwriter/ Label Owner/ Manager)Born into music in 1986, my first instrument was the trumpet, which I studied for 3 yrs, until I met the tuba, it was love at first note. I studied the tuba in Jr. high school (Vernon L. Davey Jr. High) & at Arts Highschool in Newark ,NJ. where I earned a full scholarship to Virginia Union University. I fell in love with hip hop when L.L. Cool J dropped "rock the bells", ever since then, I was hooked. In 1994 I was in my first group,"Split Personsality". We were signed to a local label in New Jersey, but never released any music due to creative differences. So we decided to pursue our dream on our own and released two tapes (Year of the None None & Welcome to the 10th planet.) both sold over 2000 copies. Then in 2000, we came to Georgia and was signed to an independent label,"Golden Boy Records". Our dreams were still unmet when the label owner ran into a financial set back. Back on the grind, I formed Grimey Times Ent. and U.N.i.e...Productions, and released We Goin Live(2003) 5500 copies sold,The Next Files(2004)3000 copies sold,Chronilogical Order(2004)4500 copies sold Phase-One(2005) 7800 copies sold, The Statement(2006), Motivation(2006), A New Mood(2006),The Voice of a Child Scorn(2006), These R Grimey Times(2006),&The Best Is Yet 2 Come(2007). My vision is to sell 500,000 copies independently and to retrieve a major distribution deal. With all the many obstacles and musical challenges I have faced, one thing is sure, my dedication and determination will not go unnoticed.
