Randall Rootz Community Music are the force behind the annual Randall Rootz Festival held in Peterborough. Now entering its 3rd year, our aim is to bring musical diversity and culture to the masses whilst raising awareness and funds for Sue Ryder Care in the process.
Our inaugural festival in 2007 was a huge sucess, bringing many bands and artists together from both far and wide, creating an eclectic mix of music over the 3 days. The opening night included a headline performance by Spider Stacy and Andrew Ranken of The Pogues.
The 2008 headline act was Legend: The Bob Marley Experience, whose members have played with such reggae greats as Desmond Dekker, Musical Youth and The Beat. Along with another fine line-up of bands across the 3 day event, including the phemoninal Ezio & Booga - and increasing our attendance record by over 50% - Randall Rootz has established itself as the most popular festival on the Peterborough music scene!
A stunning line-up has been announced for The Randall Rootz Festival Mk3, including The Beautiful South, recently renamed New Beautiful South following a two-year sabbatical. See our blog for more details!FOR MORE INFO GO TO: www.randallrootz.org
