Caedmon, Edinburgh-based band, active from 1973 - 1978 and recently jamming (2008 & 2009). They released 500 vinyl albums for their farewell concert in 1978. These became collectible in the 1990s and are now fetching extraordinary amounts on eBay and elsewhere. Re-released in cd format by Kissing Spell records in 1994. A 'Live' album is also available from Kissing Spell.
Often compared with Mellow Candle, Comus, Incredible String Band and other 70's folk rock, Caedmon steered their own path in Scotland writing their own material.
